Returns & Refund Policy

At CAEL – Capital Automotive Equipment, we sell professional-grade automotive equipment designed for commercial use. Due to the size, weight, and freight handling of these products, special return conditions apply.

Please review the following policy carefully before placing your order.

Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled before shipment. A 5% processing fee will apply to cover non-refundable payment processing charges.

Once an order has been shipped or scheduled with a freight carrier, cancellation is no longer possible and the order will fall under the return conditions below.

Deposits for special-order or custom equipment are non-refundable.

Return Eligibility

Return requests must be submitted within 30 days of delivery.

All return requests require written authorization from CAEL before any shipment is sent back.

Eligible returned products must meet the following conditions:

• Equipment must not be installed, assembled, or used
• Equipment must remain in original packaging
• All accessories, parts, manuals, and hardware must be included
• Equipment must be returned in new and resellable condition

Returns that do not meet these requirements may be refused.

Restocking Fee

Approved returns for reasons other than product defects will be subject to a 20% restocking fee.

This fee covers warehouse handling, inspection, and repackaging costs.

Freight Responsibility

Due to the size and weight of heavy equipment, customers are responsible for:

 All return freight charges
 Original outbound shipping costs

If CAEL arranges the return shipment, the freight charges will be deducted from the refund amount.

Equipment That Has Been Installed

Equipment that has been:

• installed
• assembled
• bolted to the floor
• connected to power or hydraulic systems

cannot be returned under any circumstances.

These items may only qualify for warranty service if applicable.

Freight Damage & Delivery Inspection

All shipments must be inspected immediately at delivery.

If damage is visible:

• note the damage clearly on the Bill of Lading
• take photos of the damage
• contact CAEL within 24 hours

Failure to report freight damage within 48 hours may result in the freight claim being denied.

If the delivery receipt is signed without noting damage, the shipment will be considered received in good condition.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

• equipment used or installed
• products returned after 30 days
• custom or special-order products
• consumable or wear parts
• products missing serial numbers
• items returned without authorization

Return Authorization Process

To request a return authorization, contact our support team.

Please include:

• Order number
• Product name
• Reason for return
• Photos if applicable

Our team will respond with return instructions within 1 business day.

Returns sent without authorization will be refused.

Refund Processing

Once the product is received and inspected, refunds will be processed within 7 business days.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method, minus applicable fees, restocking charges, and shipping costs.

Warranty Coverage

All equipment sold by CAEL includes a limited parts warranty for the original purchaser only.

Warranty coverage does not include:

• labor
• installation costs
• freight charges

Legal Protection

Buyer agrees to pay all costs, expenses, and reasonable attorney’s fees incurred by CAEL in collecting unpaid balances, enforcing contractual terms, or recovering equipment.
