WARRANTY POLICY

At Capital Automotive Equipment Ltd. ("CAEL"), we are committed to providing quality equipment and reliable customer support. This Warranty Policy outlines the warranty coverage available for products purchased directly from CAEL.

By purchasing equipment from CAEL, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.

 


 

1. Buyer Responsibility & Due Diligence

Before purchasing any equipment, the buyer is solely responsible for:

  • Verifying product specifications

  • Confirming compatibility with intended applications

  • Reviewing product dimensions, power requirements, and installation requirements

  • Requesting additional information when necessary

  • Ensuring the equipment is suitable for the buyer's intended use

By completing a purchase, the buyer acknowledges that they have performed all necessary due diligence prior to ordering.

CAEL shall not be responsible for incorrect equipment selection, project incompatibility, or unmet customer expectations resulting from the buyer's purchasing decisions.

 


 

2. Warranty Coverage Periods

Unless otherwise specified in writing, the following warranty periods apply from the original delivery date.

Automotive Equipment

1-Year Parts Warranty

Coverage applies to replacement parts only and excludes consumable or wear components including:

  • Cables

  • Hoses

  • Locks

  • Pulleys

  • Sheaves

  • Bushings

  • Rubber pads

  • Nylon pads

  • Slide blocks

  • Carriages

  • Neoprene components

  • Other normal wear items

 


 

Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Skid Steers, Tractors & Forklifts

1-Year Parts Warranty

Coverage excludes consumable components including:

  • Tracks

  • Tires

  • Batteries

  • Wear items

  • Maintenance items

 


 

Skid Steer Attachments

3-Month Parts Warranty

Coverage excludes normal wear components and consumable items.

 


 

Pallet Jacks

6-Month Parts Warranty

Coverage excludes:

  • Wheels

  • Batteries

  • Wear items

  • Consumable components

 


 

3. Warranty Claim Approval

All warranty claims must receive prior approval from the manufacturer and/or CAEL before any replacement parts or warranty service can be authorized.

Submission of a warranty claim does not automatically guarantee approval.

CAEL reserves the right to:

  • Request photographs

  • Request videos

  • Request serial numbers

  • Request maintenance records

  • Request additional documentation

before evaluating a warranty claim.

 


 

4. Warranty Procedure

To submit a warranty claim, contact:

Please include:

  • Customer name

  • Order number

  • Product model

  • Product serial number

  • Detailed description of the issue

  • Photographs and/or videos clearly showing the problem

Incomplete submissions may delay claim processing.

 


 

5. Freight Damage & Missing Parts

All shipments must be inspected immediately upon delivery.

Any freight damage or missing parts must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.

Warranty requests involving freight damage must include:

  • Written description of damage

  • Photographs of packaging

  • Photographs of damaged items

  • Product serial number plate

  • Original invoice or proof of purchase

Failure to report freight damage within the required timeframe may result in denial of the claim.

 


 

6. Cosmetic & Transit-Related Conditions

The following conditions are considered cosmetic in nature and are not covered under warranty:

  • Minor dents

  • Minor scratches

  • Paint imperfections

  • Surface discoloration

  • Mild surface rust

  • Packaging damage that does not affect equipment operation

These conditions do not affect equipment functionality and are not considered manufacturing defects.

 


 

7. Freight Costs

Warranty coverage applies to replacement parts only.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Air freight charges

  • Expedited shipping charges

  • Ground shipping charges

  • Freight carrier fees

  • Customs fees

  • Duties or taxes

Replacement parts may be shipped directly from the manufacturer and may require 45–60 days or longer depending on product availability and shipping conditions.

 


 

8. Labor Exclusion

CAEL warranties cover replacement parts only.

CAEL does not provide:

  • On-site technicians

  • Installation services

  • Repair services

  • Labor reimbursement

All labor costs associated with diagnosis, installation, repair, removal, or replacement are the sole responsibility of the equipment owner.

 


 

9. Non-Transferability

This warranty applies solely to the original purchaser.

The warranty is non-transferable and becomes void if ownership of the equipment is transferred.

 


 

10. Installation & Maintenance Requirements

The warranty is valid only if the equipment has been:

  • Properly installed

  • Properly operated

  • Properly maintained

in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and maintenance schedules.

Failure to follow installation, operating, or maintenance requirements will void warranty coverage.

 


 

11. What Is Not Covered

Warranty coverage does not apply to:

Improper Use

  • Misuse

  • Abuse

  • Negligence

  • Operator error

  • Overloading

  • Unauthorized modifications

Installation Errors

  • Improper installation

  • Incorrect electrical connections

  • Incorrect hydraulic connections

  • Improper setup procedures

Wear & Tear

Normal wear items including but not limited to:

  • Blades

  • Teeth

  • Wheels

  • Tires

  • Tracks

  • Batteries

  • PTO shafts

  • Hoses

  • Cables

  • Cutting edges

  • Shanks

Environmental Conditions

Damage caused by:

  • Corrosion

  • Improper storage

  • Harsh environments

  • Chemical exposure

  • Excessive moisture

Accidents & External Causes

  • Fire

  • Flood

  • Storm damage

  • Theft

  • Vandalism

  • Natural disasters

  • Vehicle impacts

  • Accidents

Other Exclusions

  • Equipment not purchased from CAEL

  • Stolen equipment

  • Salvaged equipment

  • Total-loss equipment

  • Demonstration equipment sold as-is

  • Used equipment sold without warranty

  • Cosmetic defects that do not affect operation

 


 

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CAEL's sole obligation under this warranty is the replacement of defective parts approved under warranty.

CAEL shall not be liable for:

  • Labor expenses

  • Lost profits

  • Business interruption

  • Downtime

  • Rental equipment costs

  • Lost revenue

  • Transportation costs

  • Consequential damages

  • Incidental damages

  • Special damages

CAEL's total liability shall never exceed the original purchase price of the product.

 


 

13. Special Orders

Special-order, custom-order, and non-stock products are manufactured or sourced specifically for the customer.

Once a special-order purchase has been confirmed:

  • Orders cannot be cancelled

  • Deposits are non-refundable

  • Special-order products are considered final sale

If CAEL agrees, at its sole discretion, to cancel a special-order product, CAEL reserves the right to retain up to 35% of the total order value to cover supplier penalties, administrative expenses, restocking costs, and processing fees.
